A respected name in international education
EtonHouse Group heritage
At EtonHouse, we’re proud of our heritage and what we stand for. Guided by the belief that education is the cornerstone of success, we provide high-quality international education to develop our students as critical thinkers and lifelong learners. Our strong International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes, inquiry-based approach and rich curricular and co-curricular activities have seen us setting standards of excellence across Asia.
By creating a carefully planned and well-resourced environment for learning, we support each child in their holistic development – cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically – to develop as well-rounded individuals poised for success in a globally connected world.
An international footprint
Since the establishment of the first EtonHouse school in Singapore in 1995, we have expanded to more than 100 international schools and pre-schools across Singapore, Hong Kong, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, the Middle East and Kazakhstan. This includes nine IB World Schools. Together, these schools provide high-quality international education to over 10,000 children around the world. As further testament of our global presence, we have students from 61 different nationalities in Singapore alone.
The quest for the best
We’re always looking to raise the bar and the standards of international education. That’s why we provide invest in our educators in continuous professional development, training and pedagogical support. In 2013, we launched REACH (Reggio Emilia in Asia for Children) the International Network in Asia in collaboration with Reggio Children to enhance communication, dialogue and professional development opportunities between Reggio Children and early childhood professionals in Asia. It was the first of many successful Reggio Children conferences. Today, the event is well attended by educators from all over the world.
Aiding government initiatives
As part of our commitment to enhance the standards of practice in the local and international community, we work closely with the Singapore and China governments.
In 2009, we became the first private school to manage Hampton Pre-School in partnership with the PAP Community Foundation. This was in line with our objective of making our programmes more accessible to families in Singapore. Following this successful partnership, we expanded our collaboration with the Government by launching a second Hampton campus, a project initiated by Singapore’s Founding Father Mr Lee Kuan Yew.
In early 2014, EtonHouse was selected by Singapore’s Ministry of Social and Family Development to be part of the Anchor Operator Scheme in the launch of the E-Bridge Pre-School to provide high-quality and affordable early childhood services for Singaporean families. Anchor operators were selected based on established track records and stringent criteria.
In China, we were invited by the Jiangsu provincial government to establish our schools in Suzhou, Wuxi and Nanjing with the aim of attracting international families and providing them with a high-quality programme to continue their children’s education. We are proud to announce that our schools in the three cities are now IB-authorised schools and members of the Council of International Schools. Today, each attracts a dynamic international community of learners and has contributed significantly to the social and educational landscape of its immediate environment.
